This past weekend Walt and I were sitting on the front porch enjoying the weather watching fireflies at dusk. It brought back childhood memories of tire swings, our tree house and swimming pool, neighborhood volleyball games in our backyard, lemonade stands, drinking water from the water hose and catching fireflies from dusk to dark.
Well it’s officially summer! Yay! The season for weekday grilling, evenings on the back deck, homegrown vegetables and days at the pool! Every summer we have Jacob make a list of the things he wants to do. It’s usually comprised of the skate park, Carowinds (a Carolina theme park), go kart riding, movies, swimming pool, etc. This year we thought it would be fun for the whole family! Our list is long but here are a few of the highlights!

Hi…its Sue. Catching up with your Blog which I love. I love the idea of catching fireflies, making homemade ice cream, and the wine tasting event. I could go for that anytime. Camping is fun also. Not sure when either of you have time for work. Angela you are very creative. Never knew that about you. I have always wanted to live in a Tree House…I know weird huh? Anyway it would be off the ground and a cool place. Not sure what else would join me during the night hours…like racoons!! Miss you guys. Wish I lived much closer so I could share in your adventures. Walt keep running….great job. Angela keep in touch by email also. That is my first form of contact these days….take care..hugs…Sue
Sue, we had racoons in our tree a couple of years ago and they were sooo cute! They were actually more scared of us than we were of them. I think the idea of living in a tree house sounds fun as long as if had plumbing!
We will keep you posted of our summer adventures and I’ll email you soon!
I want to take a photography class, too. Let me know if you find one. PS> I’m a beginner.
Crystal, I’ll definitely keep you posted! Groupon or Living Social advertised a photography class for $99 recently. I’m kicking myself for not purchasing it. I’m hoping it will come back around soon!
