Thanks for your comments and suggestions on my fall shopping list last week. This week, aside from being under the weather, I struggled with the “is it fall or is it summer” weather so I enlisted the help of a friend. Kristin is the one that actually introduced me to What I Wore Wednesday so I thought she was a perfect option for a guest post! Today Kristin shares how she transitioned a summer piece to fall.
“I’m honored to be guest blogger this week for the What I Wore Wednesday Feature! I follow quite a few blogs and especially like WIWW posts so it’s pretty exciting to go from being a “blog post consumer” to putting one together.
I recently added “something orange” to my autumn shopping list and soon after I spotted this dress on the clearance rack. My size wasn’t available, but after quickly trying on the next closest alternative my daughter convinced me that the fit was fine so I walked away with a great bargain in a color that is brand new for me. I intend to use this dress as casual wear in the warmer months without a jacket and paired with sandals or flip flops. However, today I wore it to work, so I reached for my brown boots and a blazer.

- Dress, Xhiliration (Target)
- Blazer, Ann Taylor
- Necklace, hand-me-down from Mom
- Boots, George (Walmart)
Thank you Angela for providing me the chance to give blogging a whirl!”
Thanks Kristin! I love the cheery but warm colors! What tips do you have to transition from summer to fall?

found you at wiww.. totally loving this look! i can’t believe those boots came from walmart, of all places! i need to get by there!
I agree!! I couldn’t believe the boots were from Walmart either! I found the cutest kids shoes there! Thanks for stopping by and posting a comment! I love to read them!
I have this dress in navy! LOVE it in red though! Great paired with boots and a cardigan! I may have to copy you! =)
Go for it Kassie!! I have copied so many ideas from WIWW bloggers!! They have improved my outfit combinations significantly!! Thanks for visiting!
Love the color. Hand me downs from Mom are always great. I have lots of jewelry that was my Mom’s and wear when I can. Since I am retired, I do not accessorize as much. I am very much a boot person and since it is cooler in Charlotte than Jacksonville, you should be able to wear them more often. You look great!! Sue p.s. hope you are feeling better.
