What’s Cookin’?

A bun in the oven. That's right – I'm not just getting fat, I'm pregnant!

Walt and I are expecting Baby #3. We were waiting to tell our employers, which we did last week, but I was also wanting to find a cute and creative way to share the news. The problem is most of my ideas involved the whole family which makes it hard to pull off during the week and with basketball tournaments, sleepovers and ski trips, our weekends have been pretty crazy too!

While, we couldn't pull these ideas off, here are a few of the creative ways to announce a pregnancy that I was contemplating. We think this is it for us so maybe these can provide inspiration to someone else.

The first photo was my favorite. For Christmas, we painted a chalkboard wall in Jacob's room so this would have been perfect although it would be 2+3=5. The problem was we never had daylight hours to do this! I may still try to capture this photo for our photo gallery.

This due date chalkboard is a quick and easy

I've seen this next one with boots or Toms.

And of course this one, sent to me by my friend Britt, makes me laugh and sympathize all at once. While I never got sick I thought I was going to many times!

How did you share your pregnancy news??

Update: This announcement was shared to us by a reader, Mallory, from The Johnson's Life Online. I only wish I saw this earlier! It's so classy and cute!

Needless to say, we are excited (and maybe a little nervous). I'd love to share more but we are taking the kids skiing this weekend so I need to do laundry and get busy packing. Details to come!

Hope you have a great weekend!!
