What I Wore: Stretching My Non-Maternity Wardrobe

I’ve been under the weather so this week’s post is a quick one with pictures of outfits I wore a week ago since this week I’ve had a red, runny nose, puffy eyes and spent all my spare time in pj’s with heels. My 19 month old who asks for a hair bow as soon as she awakens, who loves to wear my jewelry and who insists that everyone in the house wear shoes, kept bringing me high heels to put on with my pj’s and then she kept pulling my pant legs up to make sure I still had them on. My husband got a few laughs out of my attire.

(our closet is still fallen so we have clothes all over the bedroom and office)

It was a chilly so I added a my favorite cardigan this season

sweater top, Banana Republic; cardigan, Victoria’s Secret; jeans, A Pea in the Pod, shoes, Anne Klein – grey snake skin wedge heels from TJMaxx

I have limited maternity clothes so I’m trying to stretch my non-maternity clothes as much as I can (almost literally – my boobs are HUGE and barely fit in some of my shirts). Until 2 weeks ago, I was wearing my non-maternity pants and doing the rubber band trick and then the Bella band when the rubber band was ready to break. Now, having gained 22 pounds (that’s right 22 pounds -there is no way I’m going to stay under my personal 30 pound target) I gave up and I’m now in my maternity pants. The good news is they are loose and comfy so I don’t feel like a stuffed sausage in my size 4 jeans. The bad news is I only have one pair of maternity jeans.
