Over the weekend, we had a Spring Family Photo Session. I purchased a great Living Social deal and I was on the fence if we should wait for baby #3 or just do it. I decided this is most likely our last pregnancy (I’m not a pleasant pregnant person and the 3rd trimester is making me grumpy) so we should go ahead and capture the memory.
We really enjoyed working with this photographer. We selected an outdoor setting that was secluded. Lily was interactive and wide open running wild. She and Jacob were having a great time! We won’t get the CD for 3 weeks and I can hardly wait!
We scheduled the shoot a week out so I didn’t have a lot of time to prepare. I scrambled trying to find coordinating outfits that weren’t too matchy, matchy.
Walt, Jacob and I wore jeans we already had on hand and I bought my ruffle top from Old Navy. Everything else was from Target (with the exception of my maternity pants from Destination Maternity). I noticed the night for our photo session that I bought my husband a Small shirt instead of a Medium and I bought Lily a 3T instead of a 2T. Luckily we were able to make it work!
- Dad – Poplin shirt, Wrangler jeans from Target
- Mom – Merona Cardigan, Ruffle Tiered Top, Maternity Jeans
- Son – Henley tee and Levi jeans from Target but not available online
- Daughter – Cherokee Romper from Target, Silver Squeakers shoes
While we won’t get our photos for 3 weeks, I took a few photos of my own at the end after the photographer left. Lily and Walt were a bit over it by then but I love playing around with my camera so I didn’t let that stop me from snapping a few photos.
Jacob was my best subject this time.
Walt was engaged in an intense game of Words with Friends so he was too busy for me.
Lily was pretty exhausted from all the running around.

Lily likes to carry my lunch tote as a purse and drag Target bags around. In her “purse”, she had a pair of Jacob’s shoes, one of my shoes, two hair bows, band-aids and a snack.

Lily is becoming such a little girl. She’s so cute and Jacob has Soap Opera good looks. Tell Walt to chill out. He looks so serious.
PS>I’m adding that grey blouse from Old Navy to my shopping list.
Life is too short for fun and games. All business, all the time. You should know that about me.
oh! i can’t wait to see the photos when they come in!!!! kids are growing so fast and are SOOOO good looking!!!!
Sounds like you had a fun time. I am waiting for the photos and three weeks will fly by you know. Lily is really becoming a little lady. She should put her in a Target commercial since she likes their bags!! Love that Jacob smile also. Pininterest is having a contest…prize is $250. You should enter and share some of your ideas and accomplishments….take care of yourself…Sue
