Our Little Girl Turns Two

While we've thought of our daughter as a two year old for several months (since she moved up to the Two Year Old classroom at daycare and we celebrated her birthday early), it was just two years ago today that our little girl captivated our hearts.

and now

Things about our now two year old daughter.

• She has an extensive vocabulary and a big personality to match. She talks in complete sentences, uses the correct verb tense and carries on conversations with us and bosses our dog around.
• She adores her big brother! She giggles and laughs at everything he does. She looks to him for approval or validation when she is uncertain of how to feel. The funny monkey face below was per his request.

• She has an unmatched sense of style.
• She is sassy and strong-willed (both a blessing and a curse).
• She has a smile that makes our hearts melt.
• She is a big helper, she loves things to be organized. {Her room is the cleanest in the house.}
• She loves the outdoors. She loves to swing and slide. She has a meticulous sense of adventure.
• She loves Elmo and Dora hence the Dora dress in the photo's (our birthday gift to her).
• She still likes to play peek a boo and hide and seek.
• She has {obnoxiously big} hair bows, stickers or bracelets on her at all times.
• She skips, gallops and jumps her way around.
• She enjoys books and loves "Rock-a-bye"..which is her rocking chair.
• Her favorite foods are mac and cheese, any kind of fruit, scones, yogurt, rice and pancakes.
• She shouts "oh my gosh!" at every opportunity.
• She drinks out of a cup and she cleans up her own mess – at 2 really?? We are often amazed!

And she is now a caring and loving big sister.
