Quick, Easy and Inexpensive DIY Wall Art

Last week I mentioned I was tweaking Lily's room. This week, I thought I'd share a couple of crafty wall art projects I completed. They are all super quick, easy and inexpensive. The project I'm featuring today requires a canvas, some alphabet stickers and a meaningfu; phrase or quote. I found these flocked letters on clearance for $1.49 at Michaels.

Our daughter absolutely loves music. My husband would play it for her nightly when she was in the womb and we think that could be why she has such an affection for it. She also can resist dancing to a good beat. She pulls everyone up off the couch and says "Let's dance!" Even in the car she bounces to the beat in her car seat so I decided to create an art piece that says "Love is the music for the soul".

I positioned the letters lightly on the canvas to find the right spacing and arrangement. The letters were adhesive so when I was ready, all I had to do was stick them on the canvas. However, you can dab them with glue for extra strength staying power.

The letters are puffy so it gives the piece texture.

The project took 10 minutes tops. It's taking me longer to find a place for it. :)

This is another project idea that is similar but uses the reverse approach. I'm seeing if I can do something like this in my son's nursery.
