Mrs. Smith Pie and $50 William Sonoma Giveaway!

This post brought to you by Mrs. Smith's. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love the holiday season. It's a great time to gather and celebrate with family and friends. It only seems natural that these joyous occasions are centered around delicious foods and spirits. However, from time to time the hustle and bustle of the season can be a little stressful. If you find that you don't have time bake but you want something a little more customized than a store bought dessert, you should really consider Mrs. Smith's Signature Deep Dish pies!

The pies come in four different flavors Apple, Cherry, Peach and Pumpkin and each pie comes with an icing and/or topping to give it a more custom appeal. I baked an Apple and Cherry pie because those were the only two the retailer near me had in stock.

It couldn't be easier! Just heat the oven, unwrap the pie and let it bake. It was great to know I could bake these with kids tugging at my leg and wanting to be held or played with.

With the exception of Lily, the Dutch Apple pie was our favorite. You can't have apple pie without ice cream, so I opted to serve it in a ceramic ramekin bowl. I sprinkled a little cinnamon on the ice cream and then drizzled both with the caramel sauce that came with the pie.

The Cherry Pie, which was Lily's fave comes with a Butter Fudge Sauce. I simply added a dollup of whipped cream and then drizzled the chocolate sauce over the piece of pie.

Walt, who doesn't like sweets, was eating the pie so I had to capture the moment.

Now for the exciting news!!! Mrs. Smith's is offering one lucky reader a coupon for a Deep Dish pie AND a $50 Williams Sonoma gift card! What great timing!! You can bake a pie for the office pot luck or neighbor/family get together this holiday season and who doesn't love William Sonoma? Think about what a fabulous gift a $50 gift card to William Sonoma can get you.

I browsed the William Sonoma website and found several things to add to my list. We need new salt and pepper mills, the kids would love a waffle maker, the slate cheese serving board is great for entertaining, wine tumblers are in for the wine enthusiast, my husband's grandmother has been asking for a mini food processor, and these essential oils would be a great hostess gift!

There are so many great options under $50!! What would you buy?

Apple pie all the way! With vanilla ice cream on top! With the gift card I would get the William Sonoma non stick mini loaf pan. How fun would it be to make mini bannana breads! I also liked on twitter and Facebook

I'm usually an apple pie fan but I would definitely try the cherry! The butter fudge sauce sounds divine!  I would definitely put a gift card towards a set of ramekins as my new "go to" recipe is Leftover Quiche (whereby all the soon to die veggies get thrown in) and the Goldtouch® Nonstick Mini Loaf Pan  (holiday baking gifts!) .
