What I Wore Returns – Dots and Cords

Over the holidays, I received a few questions asking what happened to my What I Wore posts. I started posting outfits in an attempt to reach outside my comfort zone and try something different. As I look over the course of the series there are some outfits I would wear again (and have) and some that I hate (either they are boring or unflattering) and have since been donated.

Anyway, since Townes was born (in July), I’ve struggled with my weight and wardrobe. Unlike the first two pregnancies, I’m hanging on to these last 10 pounds so my regular clothes are still a little uncomfortable. For that reason, I haven’t been motivated to post anything I wear.

Thanks to the encouragement of my husband and you guys who tell me you miss the What I Wore posts. I decided it’s high time to stop the pity party and embrace my current state. With the after Christmas sales, I purchased a few key pieces to get me through this transition. I’m happy (and nervous) to say “What I Wore” is back! To give you a hint of what’s to come – more playful colors and inexpensive, DIY accessories. I hope you enjoy and I really look forward to your feedback and ideas!

I was already a little self conscious but the pants are comfy and with the raining, outcast weather they seemed appropriately cheerful. I walked out into the living room and Jacob says, “you are going to wear that to work??” I asked Walt 20 times if he thought it was OK. He encouraged me – what are your thoughts?

I love your outfit. The green pants look great and YOU look great also. Jacob is too funny but he does notice what women wear….so beware MOM!! You need to be like Lily….pick out what you want and go with it. She is so independent as to her wardrobe and shoes. Hugs…Sue

I haven’t had a baby, but I know what it feels like to carry around a few extra pounds. It isn’t fun! However, I think you great and I love the patterned top with those pants :)
