What I Wore – Taking Some Time Off

Since I started a career in real estate, I find myself occasionally working on weekends. I try to keep it minimal but that’s when most clients are available. This past weekend with birthday parties and family visiting, I decided to take the weekend off. When I wasn’t preparing for parties, I just chilled (or tried to). Here is a snapshot of one of my casual summer outfits. I wore this around the house and out to a casual dinner with the family.

Shirt: For the longest time I thought this was a black and ivory striped shirt. I have been pairing it with black slacks and skirt for the office and one day in the sun I realized it’s navy – oops. The shirt was on clearance at Banana Republic.

Shorts: J.Crew Factory (on clearance – same style here). The turned out to be A LOT brighter than the picture but since they were on clearance I couldn’t return them so I’m getting used to the color.

Shoes: Tahari Valerie Flats (I would normally were flip flops or sandals but I’m in desperate need of a pedicure.)

Necklace: Gift from hubby from a local boutique.

Don’t forget to sign up for the Beautycounter giveaway that ends tomorrow (July 31)!! You enter to win this great tote and sunscreen!

I hope to be back later this week to post pictures from the Princess Party.

As always, it’s great to hear from you! I’m flattered by your compliments! Did you try any of the recipes? Walt been doing all the cooking lately. It’s absolutely delicious and I’m grateful but I’m gaining weight! :) There are days my conversations with Walt were limited to quick text messages so we are really trying to slow down and spend more quality time together. I’ll be taking a day or two off each week in August to smother the kids with hugs and attention. I hope to be posting a little more too! Take care and stay in touch! I miss you dear friend!
